This device is a new, upgraded product featuring a large touchscreen display instead of traditional buttons. The ATP fluorescence detector is based on the bioluminescence principle of fireflies, using a "luciferase-luciferin system" to rapidly detect adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The ATP swab contains a reagent that cleaves cell membranes, releasing intracellular ATP. This ATP reacts with a specific enzyme in the reagent, producing light, which is then detected by a fluorometer. The amount of microorganisms is directly proportional to the amount of light emitted. Because all living cells contain a constant amount of ATP, the ATP content clearly indicates the quantity of microorganisms and other biological residues in the sample, helping to assess health status.
