Product Introduction

The 6530P Soil ORP meter is primarily used for in-situ testing of the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of fresh or moist soil, as well as for measuring the ORP, pH, and temperature of water (medium). It conforms to the standard "HJ746-2015 Determination of Soil ORP by Potentiometric Method".

As a comprehensive indicator of soil environmental conditions, soil ORP/Eh has been used for a long time. It characterizes the relative degree of oxidation or reduction in the medium, has a significant impact on soil chemical and biological processes, and is an important parameter for understanding soil properties and processes. A higher ORP indicates stronger oxidation, and a lower ORP indicates stronger reduction. A positive potential indicates that the solution exhibits a certain degree of oxidation, while a negative potential indicates that the solution exhibits a certain degree of reduction.

Oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) is one of the most important water quality indicators. Although it cannot independently reflect water quality, it can be integrated with other water quality indicators to reflect the ecological environment of aquatic systems. 1. Industrial wastewater treatment: Oxidation-reduction systems used in water treatment mainly involve the reduction of chromic acid and the oxidation of cyanide; 2. Water disinfection and applications: Oxidation-reduction potential can measure the disinfection effect of swimming pool water, mineral water, and tap water. Since the bactericidal efficiency of E. coli in water is related to Oxidation-reduction potential, it is a reliable indicator of water quality; 3. Aquaculture: Oxidation-reduction potential can reflect the concentration of certain inorganic substances in water, the state of aquatic organisms, the oxygen content in water, and reflects the macroscopic oxidation-reduction of water quality, making it a comprehensive indicator for judging water quality.
